Conference Overview

Band2gether, Inc. is proud to present the second annual Band2gether Get2gether (B2G G2G) at the Boise Centre on the Grove conference center in beautiful downtown Boise, Idaho. This year's conference will be packed with both educational and motivational information essential to living a well-balanced, healthy, and successful life with a gastric band. Speakers include band surgeons and health professionals in the fields of fitness, nutrition, and behavior modification. Speaker biographies and pictures are available in the Speakers Section.

There is NO CHARGE for the event. The conference is open to everyone, so be sure to bring a spouse, relative, or friend that is part of your support system or just interested in the lap band. We are very honored and excited to have LuLu Roman, star of the hit television show Hee Haw, as this year's keynote speaker! LuLu was banded in 2004 and has lost over 200 pounds! The award winning actress, comedienne, and celebrated gospel singer will delight and inspire the audience with her story of abandonment issues, addiction and recovery, and how she finally won her life-long battle with obesity and regained her health with the help of her gastric band.

The conference will begin on Friday, October 9th at 6pm, with check-in starting at 4pm. The event will conclude on Sunday at noon. See the Schedule Section for a detailed listing of events.

The beautiful Grove Hotel will have rooms available for conference attendees for only $99 per night! (two queen, or one king - one to four occupants). Complimentary shuttle service to and from the Boise airport will be provided to hotel guests. Details about hotel reservations are listed in the Grove Hotel Section.

The conference center and hotel are situated next door to one another on Boise's popular public Grove Plaza, which is surrounded by several blocks of gift shops, specialty clothing stores, coffee houses, restaurants, and movie theaters, and night clubs. All conference events and optional social activities are within short walking distance of the venue and hotel.

Plenty of free time has been scheduled on Saturday afternoon for enjoying time together with friends. Be sure to check out the Extra Events Section for additional social events available to conference attendees.
